The Sublime & Beautiful vs. Reality

This blog is a record of one man's struggle to search for scientific, philosophical, and religious truth in the face of the limitations imposed on him by economics, psychology, and social conditioning; it is the philosophical outworking of everyday life in contrast to ideals and how it could have been.

The chief aim of all investigations of the external world should be to discover the rational order and harmony which has been imposed on it by God
and which He revealed to us in the language of mathematics.

Social Philosophy: Culture: See this movie

On Friday a movie, "Amazing Grace", about one of my heroes, William Wilberforce, is being released. I most strongly urge everyone who can to watch this movie at the Cinema (since in our country it is now more meaningful where we spend our money than our vote at the polls) to send a message to the producers of this movie that we all appreciate a quality movie.

I can't vouch for the historical accuracy of the movie (having not yet seen it and because Hollywood invariably gets it wrong), but I shall try to see it this Friday or Saturday (at matinée of course).
