The Sublime & Beautiful vs. Reality

This blog is a record of one man's struggle to search for scientific, philosophical, and religious truth in the face of the limitations imposed on him by economics, psychology, and social conditioning; it is the philosophical outworking of everyday life in contrast to ideals and how it could have been.

The chief aim of all investigations of the external world should be to discover the rational order and harmony which has been imposed on it by God
and which He revealed to us in the language of mathematics.

W: LP: GRP: picture of authors

Here is a picture of three of the authors whose works I devoured when in elementary through early high school.

From left to right Robert Heinlein, L. Sprague deCamp, & Isaac Asimov at a shipyard (helping out in WWII). These are just the writers I started with in my fiction reading. Many others count as favorites also. Check out my GoodReads(TM).

It seems I only recently (in the last few years) started hungering for more SF type novels, however, L S DeCamp was in my reading since childhood because he helped author (edit) Robert E Howard's Conan series, which I was seriously hooked on.

I am currently reading an Asimov book "Robot Visions" I think my first by this author. I must say, I have been captivated by his writing style. I can see why he is so famous now.
