The Sublime & Beautiful vs. Reality

This blog is a record of one man's struggle to search for scientific, philosophical, and religious truth in the face of the limitations imposed on him by economics, psychology, and social conditioning; it is the philosophical outworking of everyday life in contrast to ideals and how it could have been.

and which He revealed to us in the language of mathematics.

Misgivings about Google

There are many more things that can be said about the badness of Google (like releasing information about the search records of Chinese citizens to their government) but a minor one is here...

IMNSHOI really believe that if you dig deeper into Google you will find a company that is trying to do great things, that a lot of the seemingly evil things can be rationally explained. Remember there are always two sides to every story. One positive thing that Google is involved in most recently is the 4.6 billion bid for the 700MHz spectrum if the FCC will make it openly available to all competitors. This is a major deal, and I personally would be ecstatic if it goes through. It will force evil American mobile phone companies to become a lot more competitive.
