We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence [sic], promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
Note: this was written before standardization of spelling for English and before Americanized spelling for the version of English that we speak and write.

You might consider a link to a readable version of the text or posting it here under the picture. None of my co-workers know what the preamble is or don't recall. What a pity.
I can almost write it out from memory. (Check the entry again.)
