Social Philosophy: Individual vs. The State: Duty

|

The individual cannot bargain with the State. The State recognizes no coinage but power: and it issues the coins itself.


Today I am rendering unto Caesar by performing the egregious bureaucratic duty of filing my taxes. So the above quote bears repeating.
