The Sublime & Beautiful vs. Reality

This blog is a record of one man's struggle to search for scientific, philosophical, and religious truth in the face of the limitations imposed on him by economics, psychology, and social conditioning; it is the philosophical outworking of everyday life in contrast to ideals and how it could have been.

The chief aim of all investigations of the external world should be to discover the rational order and harmony which has been imposed on it by God
and which He revealed to us in the language of mathematics.

There is speculation that this was transported through a time machine. Of coarse most people don't believe in time machines to which I would say; why does the universe appear to have one time and three space dimensions? "Just because" is not considered an acceptable answer. And just because people can't imagine moving in extra directions, beyond up-and-down, left-and-right, and back-and-forth, doesn't mean that the universe had to be designed that way. According to superstring theory, in fact, there must be six more spatial dimensions, each one curled up too tiny to detect. If the theory is right, then why did only three of them unfurl, leaving us with this comparatively claustrophobic dominion?

An alternative view would be that they reached a point with a more knowledge and science that we give them credit for. If this is the case why isn't there numerous other examples.

This object is rare indeed, wikipedia says that it is of comparable value as the Mona Lisa, but that is just a monetary perception and is very subjective.

I believe that the use of this mechanical astronomy/navigation computer was more widespread than is generally acknowledged, but as the various political units of the Greeks were taken over by the Roman Empire, and since the device is made out of high grade bronze, these computers all got melted down for the treasury or for other uses. This is the tragedy of "Total War" practiced since Noah stepped off of the Ark.
The libraries always got burned the people got raped, murdered, and enslaved, and technology got lost.
